Determinant has a definite value but matrix doesnt not have a value.

drash: can you give me example
Arvindbhattacharjee3: |3 2|
Arvindbhattacharjee3: sor
drash: I don't understand
Arvindbhattacharjee3: check your book, you can find that determinants can be simplified, but a single matrix cannot givr any value unlike like a determinant
drash: ohkk

In modern terminology, a matrix is a representation of a linear mapbetween finite-dimensional spaces in a specific basis, and the determinant is a homomorphism from the general linear group (the group of invertiblematrices) to the multiplicative group of the underlying field, typically the real or complex numbers.
