Studying is to read a text, and to store it in one's memory, and if anyone asks, one can tell what he had studied.
It is similar to learning.
But, reading is just going through a text, in the intention of getting some points, and not learning. If asked, the reader cannot say all the points what he had read.
This is the difference between studying, and reading.
Thank you.
Hope this will help you.
