Dual government was a type of government in which, the British were in charge of collecting revenue meanwhile the Nawabs was in charge of law and order. It was a very unsatisfactory way of governing as neither the British nor the nawabs had the complete responsibility.

Dual Government was a kind of government in which the Nawab and the British ruled a territory. The Nawab was in charge of law and order and the British collected Revenue. It was not a effective way of governing because neither the Nawab nor the British had complete rule over a territory. It also caused many problems like Famine in Bengal
