Electric Dipole :

The electric dipole moment is a measure of the separation of positive and negative electrical charges within a system, that is, a measure of the system's overall polarity. The SI units for electric dipole moment are coulomb-meter; however, the most commonly used unit in atomic physics and chemistry is the debye.

What is electric dipole:

Answer➡Electric dipole, pair of equal and opposite electric charges the centres of which are not coincident. An atom in which the centre of the negative cloud of electrons has been shifted slightly away from the nucleus by an external electric field constitutes an induced electric dipole. When the external field is removed, the atom loses its dipolarity.
