The exploitation of resources with short term aims is utilizing the resources only for the short term gains. Generally, this type of exploitation won’t think about the future generation and their needs that depend on these resources that are now being exploited.  

Even though the present day economic rate may get boosted because of this type of exploitation, this will lead to a major drastic consequence for the future generation.
