Definition and Dimensions of Food Security. Food security exists when all people at all times have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.

and availability of food to all the citizen.
if he doesn't have all this three dimensions so he is called as food insecure.
accesibility- suppose that if your city doesn't have any ration shop to buy food then it refers as not accessible.
affordability: if a person has no money yo buy grains or food
availability: if the ration shop is available but the grain or the basic needs that you want are not available then it called as lack of availibility
