Force: The direct or indirect action of one body over another body is known as "force". It is an action which tends to change the state of rest or stato of uniform motion of the body to which it is applied. Force is a vector quantity and it is denoted by For P.

The unit of force is N, KN

The force is completely represented by,

01) It's magnitude,

02) It's direction, and 03) It's line of action or point of application

Types of forces: A system of forces may be classified as,

01) Con-current forces: The force system in which the line of action of all forces is passing from single point is known as con-current force system.

02) Non-concurrent forces: The force system in which the line of action of all forces is not passing from single point is known as con-current force system, 03) Co planner forces: The force system in which the forces are acting along same

plane, is known as co planner force system.

04) Non-co planner forces: The force system in which the forces are not acting along the same plane is known as non-co planner force system.

The combinations of above forces are as follows:

a) Con-current Co-planner forces

b) Non-concurrent co-planner forces

c) Con-current Non-co planner forces

d) Non-concurrent Non-co planner forces

The force system is also sub divided into following types:

1) Co-linear force system. The force system having common line of action is known as

co-linear force system.

F₁

2) Parallel Force system -

force system

If the line of action of all forces is parallel to each other, is known as parallel force system.

a) Like parallel

b) Unlike parallel

Answer:

A force is an effort that changes the state of an object at rest or at motion. It can change an object's direction and velocity. Force can also change the shape of an object.
