Answer:

Natural vibrations are different from forced vibrations which happen at the frequency of an applied force (forced frequency). If the forced frequency is equal to the natural frequency, the vibrations' amplitude increases manyfold. This phenomenon is known as resonance.

What is the difference between frequency and force?

Some things can have a frequency and a force, but for most things different terms are often used.

Frequency is the rate of change, how something repeats whatever function it does.

Force is the magnitude from that something.

Like with sound, the frequency is the back and forth rate of the air making the sound while the magnitude or strength of the sound is the force. Instead of force we would more commonly used the term amplitude.

One could have a force without frequency, that is whatever occurs only once or exerts a force, but is not moving and having no defined frequency. Ball on a table setting still has a force developed by gravity, but one could not associate a frequency of occurrence to it.
