Cadet's fuming liquid was a red-brown oily liquid prepared in 1760 by the French chemist Louis Claude Cadet de Gassicourt by the reaction of potassium acetate with arsenic trioxide. It consisted mostly of dicacodyl and cacodyl oxide.
