Holozoic Nutrition is the intaking of food directly through the mouth. It is found in human beings.

Taking of complex food and converting it into simpler form.
IN Holozoic nutrition organisms feed exclusively on solid organic food materials. This process is known as ingestion. During digestion,they partly hydrolyse large organic molecules with the help of enzymes. The digested food is subsequently absorbed into the cells (absorption) and the undigested food is expelled out (egestion).
On the basis of the type of food, three types of Holozoic organism are categorized.....
• HERBIVORES
These organisms derive their food directly from plants and plant products.
Ex. Rabbit, Cow...
•CARNIVORES
These organisms feed upon other animals and animal products. Carnivores are mostly preying animals (predators, Eg. Lion, Tiger ). A few carnivores are insect eaters (insectivorous, Eg, Frog, Lizard)
•OMNIVORES
These organisms derive their food from both plants and animals. Human beings are omnivores...
