What is hyperconjugation? Why but 2 ene is more stable than but 1 ene?

hyperconjugation is the interaction of the electrons in a sigma orbital (e.g. C–H or C–C) with an adjacent empty (or partially filled) non-bonding or antibonding σ or π orbital to give an extended molecular orbital.

but-2-ene is more stable than but-1-ene because

1)symmetrical structure are more stable.

2)because of presence of 2 methyl group on each side
