inductive effect is an electronic effect which is due to polarization of σ bonds within a mile ke or ion. v cam also say that it is because of electronegative bonds of atoms of either ends of the bond .

The Permanent polarity is created in an organic molecule due to the displacement of Sigma electrons towards an atom which is more electro negative.

Ex:CH3-C2H5-C3H7.
