Mass is that quantity that is solely dependent upon the inertia of an object. The moreinertia that an object has, the more mass that it has. A more massive object has a greater tendency to resist changes in its state of motion.

your answer goes like this :-

Inertia is the property of an object to resist a change in its state or position

For ex- we lean backward when bus starts suddenly.

Inertia is of three types ;-

(1) Inertia of rest - Resistance to change state of rest.

(2) Inertia of motion:- to resist change in state of motion.

(3) Inertia of direction:- Ability to move in a certain direction only.
Inertia is a measure of mass of body, greater
the mass,greater is the inertia.
