☆Inter cropping :-

$\bold{Intercropping}$ is the growth of two or more crops simultaneously in the same field in definite row pattern.

A few rows of one crop alternate with a few rows of a second crop e.g. Soybean + maize, or bajra (finger millet) + labia (cow pea).

Row patterns like 1 : 1, 1 : 2 or 1 : 3 can be followed. This means for growing purpose, they should be one row main crop and one, two or three rows of intercrop . Crops are selected in a fashion that their nutrients needs differ.
