USES OF NaHCO3

• It is used In soda-acid fire extinguishers. When NaHCO3 combines with H2SO4 it produces brisk effervescence and produces lot of foam used for extinguishing fires.

• NaHCO3 is used as antacids because it is a mild base and therefore can be used to neutralize excess acid in the stomach.
