Jhum cultivation is also known as shifting cultivation. Mostly tribal people living in the forest areas practice it. In this type of farming, people burn a patch of land and then start their farming. the ash provides the nutrients to the crops. After the crops are fully grown. they are harvested. Then these tribes move to another place to practice this shifting cultivation.
