Lactic acid is a acidic substance with chemical formula C3H6O3. It is a mild or weak acid. When muscles work continuously without any rest, there is a formation of lactic acid in the muscles due to which the person suffer from cramps. In its solid state, it is white and water-soluble. In its liquid state, it is colorless. It is produced both naturally and synthetically
