Hi friend,

Lightning conductor is a device used to protect building from the effect of lightning.

WORKING-:

When a lightning strikes, it strikes on the sharp edges of conductor. As metallic rod is a good conductor of electricity all the electric charge flows into earth without damaging the building.

CONSTRUCTION-:

A metallic rod, taller than the building during its construction. The upper end of the metallic rod has sharp edges due to which more number of charges can be induct the other end is buried in the ground so that the current can flow to ground.

Hope it helps...............
