The force exerted by magnets is called magnetic force. It is a type of non-contact force.

The forces which acts on objects even when they are physically not in contact, are called non-contact force.
Example- gravitational force, magnetic force, etc.

Hi Mate,

Magnetic Force: magnetic force is attraction or repulsion that arises between electrically charged particles because of the motion. It is a basic forces possible for such effects as the action of electric motors and the attraction of magnets for iron.

Examples:
1. magnetic force of a compass.
2. magnetic force of a motor.

Non-contact Force: a non contact force is a force which acts on an object without coming physical in contact with it.

Example:
1. Gravity
