Antibiotics are medicines used to prevent and treat bacterial infections. Eg.- Penicillin, Tetracycline, Amino glycosides. Whereas pathogens are the germs that cause diseases. Eg.-Common examples of pathogenic organisms include specific strains of bacteria like Salmonella, Listeria and E. coli, and viruses such as Cryptosporidium.
