A reaction in which the reactant is decomposed i. e. it breaks into its constituent particles

decomposition reaction is a type of reaction in which a single compound get decomposed into more than one product .

it is an endothermic reaction as heat is used to decompose the compound .

example :- caco3 = CaO + CO2
