People celebrate diwali very grandly . On this day people get up early in the morning and have a bath . Wear new clothes . Indian women make beautiful rangoli disign on the floor with beautiful colours . Indian people believe that on this day Lord Rama has killed Ravana and as a victory of Lord Rama over Ravana they celebrate diwali . All people of India light up their houses with beautiful diyas ( candles ) . In the evening all people gather together along with children to celebrate diwali by bursting crackers . Every one enjoy it . People have fun , enjoy , talk with each other .

Everyone else seems happy .

Diwali is known as festival of lights .

It is strongly believed by the Indian people that the diwali is celebrated on the occasion of the good wins over bad .

So , by lighting their houses they make themselves believe that from now thebad times are gone .
