Net attendance ratio is defined as the ratio of the number of persons in the official age-group attending any educational institution in a particular class-group to the total number persons in the age-group.
The net attendance ratio (NAR) is the percentage of the official primary school-age population that attends primary school. The gross attendance ratio (GAR) is the total number of students attending primary school - regardless of age - expressed as a percentage of the official primary school-age population. Data is disaggregated by Social Groups
