Neutralisation is a reaction where an acid reacts with an alkali to form a neutral solution of a salt and water. 

EX: Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH) , a base, reacts with Hydrochloric acid (HCl) , it forms the salt, Sodium Chloride (NaCl) and Water.
