What is meant by parthenocarpic fruit? How is it useful?

Fruit developed from without fertilization such as seedless fruit. Natural parthenocarpic fruits are grapes , banana, and sometimes papaya. They are develop from the application of auxin on an unpollinated carpel. Ovary gets convert into seedless parthenocarpy fruit.

parthenocarpic fruit means seedless fruits.The condition in which fruits are developed without the formation of seeds is called parthenocarpy. This is mainly due to the absence of fertilization, pollination and embryo development.

Advantage of parthenocarpic fruits:

1) Provides seedless fruits and improves the quality.

2) These type of fruits attracts other animals which are responsible for pollination.

3) It is  easier to achieve results.

4) This improves crop yield.
