The term "schema" means  to the organised  data as a blueprint of how the database is concepted and distributed  into database tables in the case of relational databases.

The formal definition of a database schema is a group  of formulas known as  integrity constraints imposed on a database.

A database schema is the basic  structure that presents  the logical descripotion of the entire database.

It corelates  how the data is organized and how they are interrelated and  are associated.

It formulates all the obstruction  that are to be applied on the data.
