What is meant by vibration????

Vibration actually means to and fro or back and forth motion of any object with a fixed or constantly changing the time period.

For example,the sound is produced by the vibration of any object, our vocal cords contract and leave a narrow slit between them.

The air from outside passes through our vocal chords and the vibration produces some sound which could be easily heard.

It actually happens when a body is displaced from its equilibrium condition.
