In biology mensuration is a vaginal bleeding occurs in 28 days
In every 28 days uterus prepares it with lot of blood capillaries to nourish the zygote in case egg fuses with sperm but in case egg is not fuses with sperm due its absence and so blood capillaries is not required and it breaks down and comes through out vagina. Hence it is also called vaginal bleeding or periods
