Both metaphor and personification are rhetorical devices which are employed in English (and other languages) to convey something more than the literal meaning of the sentence.
Metaphor replaces an anmate object in the sentence with another to show how strongly the qualities of the former are comparable to the latter

Metaphor and Personification both are figure of speech.

Personification is a human qualities or abilities done or do by object or animal in poem to add interest in poem.
