Change in the position of the object from reference point is called the motion of the object.
Types of motion are -:
1. Straight Line motion : If object moves along straight line, then it is called as straight line motion. Eg. : Motion of a ball in long pipe.
2. Circular motion : When any body or object moves on a circular path then it is called circular motion. For Eg. : A stone tied by a string and moving in horizontal direction.
3. Oscillatory motion : Sometimes moves as a whole, in to and fro motion or back and forth or along the same path and does not experience any change in shape. This kind of motion of such objects is called the oscillatory motion. For Eg. : Motion of pendulum in a pendulum watch.
