Two vectors are equal if they have the same magnitude and the same direction. Just like scalars which can have positive or negative values,vectors can also be positive ornegative. A negative vector is avector that has the opposite direction to the reference positive direction.

SAME AS THAT OF VECTOR A BUT THE

DIRECTION IS OPPOSITE TO THAT OF

VECTOR A IS CALLED THE NEGATIVE

VECTOR AND IS WRITTEN AS -a

vector.
