Hello user☺☺
It is the structural and functional unit of nervous system.
Its Structure
-----------------
Its apical part is mark by DENDRITES which later collapses into a dendron and finally the upper part cyton is formed.
Cyton contains the nucleus, nissils granules and neurofibriles.
Below cyton axon is present upto its end and is marked by the neural terminal.
There are some sheath present over the axon called mylein sheath and neurilemma.
Its function
--------------
1. It transmit electrical impulses from one part of body to another.
2. It provide a way of information transmission.
3. It stimulates the secretion of some hormons also.
4. Provide an insulation to mixing of impulses.
