Heya
Here is your answer
_____________________________________________________________

The reaction in which acid and base react to give salt and water is called neutralization reaction

e.g.  NaOH + HCl ⇒ NaCl + H₂O

Here NaOH is a base

HCl is an acid

NaCl is salt

H₂O is water

So acid and base are reacting to give salt and water

Hope this helps! ^_^

What is neutralization reactions ?

Answer :

Neutralization reaction is a reaction in which an acid and a base reacts with one another to give salt and water only.

The heat of neutralization is the amount of heat liberated when 1 g equivalent of the acid or base reacted to give salt and water.

Examples :

NaOH + HCl ======> NaCl + H₂O

KOH + HCl ======> KCl + H₂O

In both cases , the reactants involved are acid and base only.

They react to give salt and water and always forms a double decomposition reaction type.
