By the line THE SUMAC TREE WAS BOWED WITH A BREATHLESS TITLED CROWD the poet wanna say the situation there..
He says that the sumac tree seemed bowed Becoz of the weight that is the titled crowd on it. Since the sumac tree cannot bare the weight on it, it seemed to be bend...
So by this the poet says that there were more audience for the nightingale's song...
Here the titled crowd refers to the people with great titles...
