NITROGEN CYCLE:

Nitrogen is both the most abundant element in atmosphere and a building blocks of protein and nucleotide acids. The nitrogen cycle is a complex biogeochemical cycles in which nitrogen is converted from its inert atmospheric molecular form N2 into form that is useful in biological process.

The atmospheric nitrogen is thus converted into certain compounds that plants may take up from the soil by some biochemical ( caused by certain bacteria like rhizobium ,nitrosomona The nitrogen cycle cointains:

  1. Nitrogen fixation
  2. Nitrification
  3. Assimilation
  4. Ammonification
  5. Denitrification
