Hey mate !!

Nomenclature is the system of providing a scientific name for every living organism. The need for a uniform international system of naming is obvious. Common names for the same plant and animal vary from region to region. Further the same name may be used for different  kinds of organisms in different languages.

This problem was resolved by agreeing upon to use a 'scientific' name for each organism in same manner as chemical symbols and formulae for various substances are used all over the world. The scientific name for an organism is thus unique and can be used to identify it anywhere in the world.

Hope it will help you ^_^

it is a system of terms used in a particular science especially : an international system of standardized New Latin names used in biology for kinds and groups of kinds of animals and plants — see binomial nomenclature.
