The normality of 0.2 M H_{3} PO_{4} solution 0.6 N.

Given:

The molarity of H_{3} PO_{4} solution is 0.2 M.

To Find:

The normality of the solution.

Solution:

H_{3} PO_{4} is tribasic acid

The number of hydrogen ions (H+ ) is 3.

Thus basicity of H_{3} PO_{4} is 3.

Normality= Basicity × Molarity

N= 3 × 0.2 = 0.6

Therefore, the  normality of 0.2 M H_{3} PO_{4} solution is 0.6 N.
