The process by which plants prepare their own food with the help of chlorophyll,sunlight,water,etc is called Photosynthesis. Hope it helps and pls mark as the best answer. :-)

The process by which green plant make their own food from Carbon dioxide and water by using sunlight energy in the presence of chlorophyll is called photosynthesis.
          Oxygen gas is released during the photosynthesis.
