Pre-degree course in science:

• The pre-university course or pre-degree course (PUC or PDC) is an intermediate course of two years' duration, directed by state education institutions or boards in India. This pre-university course is also termed as the plus-two or Intermediate course.  

• A person who desire to take admission to an Indian university must pass this course, which can be measured as a degree bridge course to prepare students for university education.

• Admission to this course is grounded on marks obtained for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate, awarded after successful completion of five years of primary school, trailed by five years of secondary school.
