A prism is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light. At least two of the flat surfaces must have an angle between them.
The Prism Principle is an organization dedicated to educating, inspiring and empowering people of all ages to live fuller and more positive lives. Centered around the notion “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are”, The Prism Principle uses time-tested psychometric models and proprietary techniques to help people understand that each of us sees life through our own personal and truly unique lens – or prism. This lens has been shaped by our temperament and values and continues to be polished by our experiences, attitudes and actions.

A prism is an object made up of a transparent material, like glass or plastic, that has at least two flat surfaces that form an acute angle that's less than 90 degrees. I don't know what priniciple it is though, sorry.
