Protozoa are a group of single- celled microorganisms which are classified as animals. Protozoa are animals like just as large as algae are plants like. Protozoa are found in ponds,lakes,dirty water, drains, rivers, sea - water etc. Deaseas like dysentery and maleria are caused by protozoa. Entamoeba is a protozoa which causes a deases know as amoebic dysentery and Plasmodium is a protozoa which cause a deaseas called maleria. Some common protozoa are : Amoeba and Paramecium.
