  \:\:\:\:\:\:\: \bold \green{Redox  \:  \: Reactions :  - }

It is also called reduction and oxidation reaction. In this reaction

  • reduction of oxygen is called reduction.
  • adding of oxygen is called oxidation.
  • reduction of hydrogen is called oxidation.
  • adding of hydrogen is called reduction.

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \boxed{ \sf{ZnO + C → Zn + CO}}

  • zn reduces oxygen so it is called reduction. while oxygen is added to carbon so it is called oxidation.

 \:\:\:\:\:\:\: \bold \blue{Decomposition \:  \:  Reaction : -  }

In this type of reaction a single reactant will decompose to two or many products.

 \boxed {\sf{FeSO4  →  Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3}}

  • Here we provide heat to ferrous sulphate crystals and they will decompose to give ferrous oxide, Sulphur oxide and sulphur trioxide.

  \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\bold\pink{Combination   \:  \: Reaction :  - }

In this type of reaction two or more reactant reacts to provide a single product.

  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \boxed{ \sf{2Mg + O2  → 2MgO}}

  • Here magnesium will reacts with oxygen to give magnesium oxide.

 \bold \red{Exothermic  \: and  \: Endothermic Reaction}

Exothermic reactions are those reaction in which heat is evolved while in those reaction which do not evolve heat is known as Endothermic reaction.

 \boxed{ \sf{CaO + H2O → Ca(OH)2+ heat ↑}}

  • It is Exothermic Reaction as there is heat evolving when Calcium Oxide reacts with water.

  • Rusting of Iron is an endothermic reaction.

{  \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\bold{\purple{Displacement  \:  \: \: Reaction :- }}}

In this reaction elements with highly reactivity displaces the elements with less reactivity.

 \:  \:  \boxed{ \sf{2Na + FeSO4 → Na2SO4 + Fe}}

  • In this reaction Sodium displaces the ferrous from ferrous sulphate solution and makes solution of sodium sulphate.
