Regur soil is mostly known as BLACK COTTON SOIL.
It is formed as a result of cooling and solidification and erosion of lava/magma.

Regur soils have high quantities of potash , phosphorus and nitrogen.

There is large proportions of clay which retains moisture.

Regur soils are properly aerated during summer.

Cotton grows well in this soil.

In India it is found in the deccan plateau.
