The basic concept of reproduction in plants is same as that of human beings.
New individuals in plant reproduction are known as "offsprings".
Here in case of plants, reproduction can be sexual or asexual.
By the fusion of gametes sexual reproduction is performed.
On the other hand Asexual reproduction performed without the fusion of gametes.
The flower produces two kinds of gametophytes, male and female. The female gametophyte arises from a cell within the ovule , a small structure within the ovary of the flower.
