Sustainable development implies a pattern of development which aims at preserving the environment . It is a mode of human development in which resource use, aims to meet human needs without causing much damage to the environment so that  needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come.
The concept of sustainable development is related to resource planning since it aims at preservation and conservation of resources for future generations and planning their usage.
