Respiration is described below :

Respiration is the phenomena where the cells gets energy by the combination of glucose and oxygen.

There are 2 kinds of respiration -

1. Aerobic type

This is the respiration which happens when oxygen is present.

This respiration occurs in animals like human beings.

It gives large quantity of energy.

2. Anaerobic type

This is the respiration which occurs or happens when oxygen is not present.

In yeast, this kind of respiration occurs.

It gives low quantity of energy.
