What is saprophytic?give common examples.

Saprophytes are organisms that reside on decayed matter as they obtain their nutrition directly from the digestion of dead material. As they feed on, the material gets decomposed and helps in soil enrichment. They are heterotrophs. eg. Rhizobium, rhizopus, Mucor.
