A form of agriculture in which an area of ground is cleared of vegetation and cultivated for many years and then abandoned for a new area until its fertility has been naturally restored is known as Shifting Agriculture.

Podu is also called as shifting agriculture the farmers move one place to another place to cultivate different types of plants ,when the fertility in their land decreased they shift to another fertilized land this called shifting agriculture
