What is similar from the dynamics point of view between a book lying stationary on the horizontal table and a raindrop falling downward with constant speed?

When a book is lying stationary on the horizontal table, there is no force acting in the horizontal direction. In the vertical direction, the weight of the book is balanced by the normal reaction on the book from the table. Thus net vertical force on the book is zero.

Similarly when a raindrop is falling with a constant speed, a force due to air resistance equal weight of the raindrop is acting on it. Therefore, the net vertical force on the raindrop is zero.
