Snell–Descartes law or the law of refraction) is a formula used to describe the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction, when referring to light or other waves passing through a boundary between two different isotropic media, such as water and glass.

kanthikiran006: snells law it is a formula mostly used to told about the relation between refraction and the angles of incidences. Example: the ways which are coming from the light or also some other waves,it passing through a boundary between (water and glass) and also it is known as isotropic media it is known as snells law. I hope it is understand to you

Snell's law is a formula used to describe the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction, when referring to light or other waves, passing through a boundary between two different media, such as water and glass.

The law says that the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence and of refraction is a constant that depends on the media. So, light changes direction when it passes through different media (glass to air, air to water, etc.).
